Why cant the game continue?? :(

I Literally LOVED this game. And I still do, but seriously, WHY cant I do anything past that level 35 mission, finding the Holy Relic? I defeated the boss and got some "Giant" armor and a Skull Smasher I think.
You guys are the best at making games and if this game could be a completed one, it would be the best. Also my brother had this game a couple years back and he got passed the whole level 35 mission Holy Relic thing. Whats with that??
